It's not completely threadbare, but it's also not overly detailed, for AoW4 empire management. There's not a lot to AoW4's city/empire management yet. ![]() this is basically 'keep stability up while spamming buildings'. AoW3 did a lot better with the early game not being a mess of everyone bumping into each other in the first 3 turns.Īnd PF had better empire management. it's good to not have too much time before meeting the other players, but this goes too far the other way, where I am meeting other players on the first 3 or 4 turns almost every time and not getting any quests until the quest stacks spawn in someone else's territory. AoW4, at least on standard settings, is somewhat claustrophobic. AoW4 doesn't have a campaign, really.ĪoW3 felt like there was more exploration/expasion. AoW4 is probably my favorite overall, but it has areas that are slightly weaker than in other games of the series.ĪoW2 has an actual campaign, and it's a great campaign.
